PropScan
Terms of Use
Last updated: September 24, 2026
These terms apply to your use of the PropScan app. By using PropScan you agree to them.
The app
PropScan helps you document properties: create property records, scan rooms with Apple’s RoomPlan framework on compatible LiDAR devices, dictate notes with on-device speech recognition where supported, add photos and generate PDF property reports on your device.
Property documentation and your responsibility
You are responsible for the information you enter, the photos you add and the reports you create and share, including having the right to photograph and document a property and to share its details. Review every report before sending it to anyone.
Measurement limitations
RoomPlan-derived measurements, floor plans and areas are generated by device-based scanning and depend on the device, lighting, surfaces and how the scan was performed. Manually entered values are provided by you. Measurements are useful for documentation and estimation but are not a substitute for professional surveying. RoomPlan-derived measurements must be independently verified whenever they are used for legal, contractual, valuation or other professional purposes. PropScan does not provide survey-grade, certified or legally binding measurements.
PDF generation
Reports are generated on your device from the data stored in the app. PropScan only includes information you entered or that was captured by a scan; it does not add prices, areas, features or other facts on its own. You decide whether and with whom reports are shared.
Free reports and the Lifetime purchase
PropScan includes three free property reports; a report counts only when its PDF has been successfully created and saved. PropScan Lifetime is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited reports for the Apple Account used to buy it. It is not a subscription. Purchases are processed and billed by Apple and can be restored on your devices with the same Apple Account. Refund requests are handled by Apple.
License
PropScan is licensed, not sold, to you for personal and professional use under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which applies together with these terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Apple is not responsible for PropScan or its content.
Your data and deletion
Your data is stored on your device and is not backed up or synchronized by PropScan. You are responsible for keeping copies of reports you need. You can delete data in the app at any time; deleted data cannot be recovered by the developer.
Availability
Room scanning requires a compatible LiDAR device; on-device dictation depends on the language and device. Features may change with app or iOS updates.
Limitation of liability
PropScan is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. The developer is not liable for decisions made on the basis of measurements, reports or other content created with the app, or for loss of data stored on your device, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the current version is always published on this page.
